We’re starting our journey into the world of wellness; it’s already started with the new brand ‘Bloomin’ that we stock, which is a natural Adaptogenic and Nootropic Mushroom supplement company.
‘Bloomin’ is an amazing supplement for mental and psychical support, some benefits range from increased energy, reduced stress, anti-inflammatory properties, increased mood, boosts exercise performance; this is just a handful of the benefits each blend provides.

We will be serving Super Lattes like Turmeric, Chai, Beetroot and a cheeky Hot Chocolate for you to purchase, you can then choose your ‘Bloomin’ mushroom blend to personalise your drink to your liking.
I’m hoping the drinks bar will be fully functional by May/ June ‘23
The drinks bar is an important first step on our journey into mental health and wellness, what I can see happening is the salons location will become a hub for people that are into alternative wellness drinks that aren’t caffeinated, this will be a great social spot as well as a hair and beauty salon.
Our next step will be going into mental health support, I would love to get qualified in Mental Health Support and coaching as well as my outdoor instructor qualification In paddleboarding.
This might sound a little random but my vision is; you’ll be able to book outdoor sessions through ‘Into Nirvana’ where we connect to nature through, wild swimming, paddleboarding, running and cycling or just a lovely walk through woodlands.
We could just go for an outdoor session or we could while out have a chat about things that might be playing on your mind. The mental health coaching qualification will give me the confidence to be able to support you fully.
With ‘Into Nirvana‘ we could also arrange outdoor club nights where we can connect like minded people through run/ cycling clubs or wild swims.
The salons’ location would become a meeting point or finishing point after these sessions, where we can finish with a ’Bloomin‘ mushroom blend latte, which will help aid psychical recovery or give us a boost before our session too.
You might be thinking where has this all come from and to be honest it’s a long story but I’ll try and be brief!
Over the last few years I’ve found life quite stressful and have suffered quite a lot of loss. I tried to turn all this around and make real positive changes as it got quite a lot to manage. I have always loved nature and getting outdoors and weightlifting has always been a huge passion,
I made some changes to my personal life to allow more time for the outdoors, I started hiking Mountains, wild swimming, trail running, basically if it’s an outdoor activity I’ll be there.
There is so much healing to be had being out in nature. Each mountain hike I felt more mentally stronger, each time I went out with friends on a trail we would talk all things from life, death and everything inbetween, you also can’t be out on trail without endless laughter too,
Which really is the best medicine, this is a small insight in how the outdoors has helped me now ; let’s me fill you in on Adaptogenics.
As I said before life has been really stressful and with Fibromyalia, psychical pain and also causes hair loss has ruled a lot of my life.
I’ve tired alot of pharmaceutical drugs for the pain; which I really didn’t want to carry on with, I started researching into CBD, Ashwagandha, Lions’ Mane and botanicals. Taking these really have reduced the pain and with now taking Reishi I sleep so much better and it has really help with hair growth in my alopecia spots.
I do also think one thing that really helped with pain management is daily Ice Baths And weekly wild swims, this is also amazing for your nervous system and your mental health.
Since Covid we have also introduced Mental Health Days at the salon, every now and then when the energy needs lifting and reenergising we close the salon and as a team we go for yoga session, eat some scumptious food, maybe abit of wild swimming. I know the team have really benefited from taking time out and reconnecting.
This is just the tip of my wellness journey and I can only hope that with this new adventure I can help other too.
